It takes a lot for me to laugh out loud but these books get me every time.

I read a lot and for the most part I like thrillers but once in a while I love a good cozy mystery. I started with book 1 in March 2022 and it’s May and I’m ready for book #4. These are so much fun to read. I have fallen in love with Gertie, well all of Swamp Team 3 really and this Carter and Fortune, will they or won’t they has been fun.

I have laughed until I cried at some of the antics these ladies got up to. Living in a small town I can also relate to everyone knowing your business We don’t have a Catholic Church but we do have a Baptist and a Methodist almost next door to each other. We also had a small restaurant in town that had Sunday lunch. The special dessert was fresh strawberry cake. Love these books!!

Love it but please don’t give cats milk. They are lactose intolerant so it can give them a tummy ache and loose stools.

Excellent Book! I still laugh a lot at the antics of Fortune and the geriatric mafia, Ina Belle and Gertie! The group now has a name, Swamp 3, better than Rambo. Of course they are almost caught by Carter and the cover ups begin but they are out to help a friend in this mystery. Someone has targeted Amy who is a friend of Fortune’s and they will not rest until the culprit is caught! Someone tried to burn down Amy’s house with her in it. Not good but help is on the way in terms of Fortune , Gertie and Ida Belle. Carter suggest they keep an eye on Amy and Fortune goes one step better!
There are surprises, twists to the plot but I laugh my head off at some ot the things the ladies are up to and Carter’s reactions to them. The romance is heating up between Carter and Fortune and I love it! You will meet some new characters who would be considered loan sharks but I think you will find them a bit unusual!
I love the series and am off to read the next book. So therefore I highly recommend this book and the series if you like mysteries, romance and unusual humor!

I love this series!! Love the story line, the characters, the funny and smart conversations! Clean, no gory or sex, it’s the perfect cozy mysteries. I can’t put it down. Best cozy mystery ever!!! Highly recommended.
