Sugar and Spice

I absolutely loved Sugar and Spice! Kimberly Kincaid has once again delivered another wonderful romance in Sugar and Spice, the first book in her Pine Mountain series. Kimberly Kincaid has once again provided her readers with amazing characters. I love how all the characters in Sugar and Spice feel like best friends! Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong, passionate females, and loving friends, who always support one another? Kimberly Kincaid continues to deliver all that and so much more. I really enjoyed Sugar and Spice and am looking forward to reading the other books in the Pine Mountain series. Kimberly Kincaid has once again shown that she is an amazing storyteller. Sugar and Spice did not disappoint, it was impossible to put it down and loved every moment on every page. I enjoy how Kimberly Kincaid writes from the perspective of the main characters. That way you get to know what is going on in each of their minds. Sugar and Spice is a wonderful holiday love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud and the bittersweet moments that pull at my heartstrings causing me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Sugar and Spice be filled with such moments, and with so much more. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a Kimberly Kincaid love story, especially the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Who does not love a story about a love at first sight? Sugar and Spice is the story of Lily Callahan, baker, owner of The Sweet Life, and Pete Mancuso, pastry chef. Lily and Pete meet, when Pete literally runs into her as they are both registering for the Pine Mountain Resort’s Christmas Cookie Competition. Lily wants to win the competition so that she can move her business out of her own kitchen and Pete is looking for a better job. While Lily and Pete spend more time with one another during the competition, things change between them. I love the changes and risks that Lily is willing to make with her baking because of Pete’s encouragement. I love how Lily and Pete show their vulnerable sides, where Pete changes his mind about his dreams. I love the outcome of the cookie competition and the personal stories both Lily and Pete share with the judges. I love the surprise that Lily has for Pete during the competition. I love how the epilogue hints at what happens next in the series. I love how Pete fulfilled Lily’s dreams. Sugar and Spice contains all the things that I have come to love most and expect in a Kimberly Kincaid story, romance, great characters and setting, bittersweet moments and the plot twist that ties it all together. Amazing story. It was impossible to put it down. Highly recommend this wonderful holiday romance. I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

Sugar and Spice is the first in Kimberly Kincaid’s small-town contemporary Pine Mountain series. Baker Lily Callahan and pastry chef Pete Mancuso face off in a holiday bake-off that gives the winner not only significant prize money but the boost in reputation that could jumpstart a career.

Lily is much more comfortable with a by-the-book approach while Pete has made a spontaneous charm somewhat of a trademark.

As the two get to know each other and their work over the course of the competition, it’s clear that more than a good working relationship is brewing.

Kimberly Kincaid’s story is warm and festive, and Sugar and Spice is a delicious treat to celebrate the holiday season!
