Description

here are certain things Jasper Blackstone cannot be. He cannot be reckless. He cannot be selfish. He cannot put his desires before his family.

Holly Henderson didn't know what she was agreeing to when she accepted the Blackstones' invitation. She only knew she owed them, and that spending the holidays at their ancestral estate was better than spending them alone.

She didn't expect Jasper.

Jasper Blackstone has spent his entire life cleaning up the messes his powerful family leaves behind. He’s to protect the family, control the fallout, and never lose composure.

It’s a role he wears so well that most people mistake him for cold. And maybe he is.

As the eldest Blackstone brother, Jasper learned long ago that love is weakness, trust is dangerous, and vulnerability gets people destroyed. So he keeps his distance from everyone—including the woman who unexpectedly arrives at Blackstone Manor and immediately threatens the careful control he’s spent years perfecting.

As a world class journalist, Holly is inquisitive and defiant, and that makes her dangerous.

Worst of all, Jasper wants her.

What begins as irritation quickly becomes obsession. Because beneath her curious nature and guarded heart, Holly makes Jasper feel something he hasn’t allowed himself in a very long time:

Human.

Intrigued is a deeply emotional billionaire romance about forbidden attraction, family loyalty, dangerous secrets, and the powerful man who never planned to fall first. It’s the first book in The Forbidden Billionaire Trilogy in The Blackstones series by best-selling author Z.L. Arkadie.

Unfortunately it’s a cliffhanger. :(
Love a good cliffhanger

I’m so glad this story was not wrapped up in one book. There are too many twists and questions to be answered. Ironically, Jasper seems like the sweetest of the brothers, he is just the eldest trying to handle things.

It’s a spicy suspense story but the base of it is about a family that needs to break a bondage older than them… at least from my understanding so far.

Definitely a great book if you read books by Aletha Romig and HD Carlton. It’s not a light romance read. Only those into dark romance should dabble here due to possible pending subject matter.
Really?

Shocked to learn this was written by a woman. Their word choices are certainly cringe worthy and outdated. But if you like that sort of thing, this is for you
Love!!!

You had me right up to your cliff hanger ending. I seriously DON’T LIKE CLIFF HANGERS. This book was free to me and I won’t buy or read any of your other books. Too bad because your writing style is good until the book ending.

Not a bad story but the author should be banned from selling books for failure to disclose it was a cliffhanger and not a complete book, no integrity in her for that.
Captivating

I actually liked this book. I went into thinking it would be cheesy with a reporter investigating but as I kept reading, the secrets kept pulling me back in. Just bought book two…🤞🤞 it’s just as good
Absolutely loved!

Interesting and fast-paced, it was hard to put down. On top of all that, it was wrapped in mystery! Definitely a must-read!

It was ok, but seemed all over the place. I can’t believe the author wants $4 for the next one. This, wasn’t that good.
