Moon kissed by Diana Grant was just awesome. You must read this thrilling love story. It is worthy of much more than a five star.

I’m still reeling from this – that no one (scowly face) NO ONE told me of the wonder that is a shifter story from Donna Grant. Yeah – I’ll be getting the rest of these soon, and plan to hide out with the LaRue pack as soon as I can swing the time away.

There are werewolves, vampires, witches and Voodoo priestesses all set in New Orleans as the LaRue brothers seek to maintain the peace between the factions in the city. Addison walks into Gator Bait bar after a perfectly horrible day, and her life, and luck, change almost instantly. Nearly broke, exhausted from working three jobs and going to university, spending her last money to grab a cold drink and something to eat as she regroups turns out to be a fortuitous chance.

Myles is behind the bar, and can’t take his eyes off Addison. His take-charge cousin Riley Chiasson strikes up a conversation and suggests Addison come work as a waitress at the bar. Much to Myles’ distress – Addison is now working at the bar, and the attraction between the two is charged.

When Addison is nearly killed by a vampire behind the bar, and then singled out for attention from the Voodoo Priestess that cursed the LaRue family, her understanding and belief of all things “odd” about New Orleans suddenly is real. And that wolf that saved her from the vampire is somehow familiar and not at all frightening.

Action, tension, tons of emotion and great interactions highlight this first in the spin off from the Chiasson Series. Each of the characters is well developed, with a focus on Myles and his finding his mate and happiness in Addison. There is no lack of characters to cheer for: from Addison and her troubled past, to Myles and his fears about the curse, his brothers and their cousin Riley, still angry from being ‘banished’ to Austin without family or visits – they even missed her graduation. Grant has penned a story that has me curious about all of the characters that I’ve met, and wanting to know more of the background that led to this series.
