Within the first few pages there were tears streaming down my face as the family received the heartbreaking news. I cried for their sorrow and for Ember trying to step in and keep the family functioning when her mother could not. The story of how they dealt with their loss is beautifully written. Ember’s care for her little brother was heartwarming.

This captured a romance that is built on a good foundation. It’s loving, steamy, and hopeful. I love Josh and Embers story. I accidentally read eyes turned skyward first but still loved this book!

I first read this book back in 2016 before I ever met my soldier and I absolutely fell in love with it! As the years have passed and I experienced being an army girlfriend, these books called to me even more!! I have read them time and time again and fall in love more and more each time! This is my absolute favorite book series ever! Josh and Ember’s story has always been my favorite!

This is my first review of a book I read on iTunes. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story. I wasn't bored or felt like it dragged at all. It was a complete story from start to finish without being continued to another book in a "series." The characters made you laugh and cry and it felt like you were with them. I really hope I get to read more by this author. Thank you for writing a beautiful story!

Full Measures by Rebecca Yarros is a stand-alone romance that will require at least 1 box of tissues and a hearty glass of your favorite wine. Be prepared to be sad, happy, sad, happy and completely overwhelmed.

Ember's father just died. He was in the Army, in Afghanistan and now he's never coming home. Her family is falling apart around her and she wants to fall apart too, but then Josh walks into her life and he is her life preserver. The feelings that ignite between these two help erase most of the debilitating pain Ember feels from her dad's passing. He makes life livable again.

So what happens when she discovers Josh's secret is the one thing that can send her spiraling right back down into a pit of despair with no hope in sight?
