Gabrielle’s marriage to James Warner was very far from satisfactory—in fact, so far it hadn’t been a marriage at all—and she was determined to get it sorted out once and for all. So she managed to get herself an assignment in remote Yucatan, in Central America, where James had gone on an archaeological expedition. But she arrived in Yucatan to find that James had disappeared and that the leader of the expedition, Shaun Lennox, was totally opposed to her joining it.
