John MacMillan spent the better part of three decades living and working in the Caribbean. What he has seen and experienced there in the 1970s, '80s, and '90s, as incredible as they are, are events that could never be replicated today. As a professional sales trainer, he has written two previous books: "The 10 Toughest Sales Calls (and how to close them)", which was published by London Publisher, Kogan Page in 1994. Language rights were later sold to an Indonesian publisher. Then in 2000, he wrote a second, follow-up, sales book "Customers Still Count", which was published in New York.

"Not in the Bahamas" has been a work a long time in the making. It required him going through a mountain of notes, numerous shindigs with his comrades-in-arms who shared the journey and, most importantly, his travel logs. As much as could be remembered...was remembered. The results will leave you saying...whaatt!

John went back to school in the year 2000 to become a financial advisor. In 2004, he opened up a very successful financial services practice in New Jersey, where he works and lives with his wife of 35 years and two of his four children.
