I usually love Hillerman books. With this one I couldn’t get past the narrator. She mispronounced almost every Native American name and location. I made it only a few chapters and decided I just couldn’t continue. I grew up in the area where the story takes place and she butchered the names and places.

Why do publishers and novelists today insist on pushing their political agenda? People read to escape and enjoy, not to have the author’s party affiliations known. Once I read her partisan opinions, I quit reading the sample and will definitely not buy this book.

Another compelling read and difficult to put down. A good addition to this amazing series, in which Chee and Manuelito are the primary characters.

A while known paleontologist freeze’s to death, walking distance from his car? That is the initial observation. Actually he was murdered.Fosssil harvesting, tales of ancient lore,mystery’s of an area of land millions of years old.Then another murder outside of another brilliant paleontologist home. The two primary killers in this excellent read are women. One another brilliant PHD the actual master mind of everything going on and her partner in crime a BLM employee. Enjoyed immensely!! My highest recommendation!!
