    I've never been so negative about a book as I've been with this one. The potential for a great story was there, but it failed to deliver. It was so boring as to put me to sleep. I can usually read even a bad book cover-to-cover but found myself skipping pages throughout the book just to finish it. I had just finished reading "The Keeper", a great book by the way, so decided to stick with Lescroart as I was hungry for another great storyline, but sadly, this was a huge DISAPPOINTMENT!

    The Ophelia Cut is extraordinarily plotted and marvelously written. Unlike many novels of this type, there is no clear, simple conclusion. As a "Who Done It?", it leaves more questions than answers. Still it is completely enjoyable ambiguity rather than confusion or disappointment, and the reader is left with a sense of satisfaction. This is the way the real world is.

    Couldn't wait to find out what Dismas and Abe were up to. So disappointed. The denouement was disappointing and not believable. I'm still a Lescroat fan but this not one to remember.

    The book is well written and the characters compelling, but the ending falls pretty flat and was a real disappointment.

    I've read all the John Lescroart books and have enjoyed them all. And The Ophelia Cut looked like another winner, however the ending was such a disappointment it ruined the experience. All through the plot I was waiting for the part where the ODDIT, but now I'm left to wonder what happened. What about Goodman and Lo? Did they receive any punishment for their nefarious deeds? Did Abe really have to retire? Did Gina have to lie? I'm not sure I'll read the next book in this series.

    Diz is my all time favorite fictional character, and this book didn't let me down. It's great to see all the characters back. The story is enthrall inch and the end is quite shocking in several ways. I enjoyed it thoroughly and would recommend it to anyone.
