    I’m a long time fan of the films, comics, and shows. However, I’ve never gotten into the novels until Heir of the Empire. Not only is it well written but because of the familiar characters and placement of the story I didn’t feel totally loss. I’m extremely excited to read next installment of the trilogy.

    Luke and Mara’s interactions were the best part. It’s funny to see how they hate each other and then see the other Star Wars books where they are married and have a kid together.

    This book is amazing. It’s a great starting point into the wonderful EU (legends). Grand Admiral Thrawn is such a compelling character, and if you only know him from Rebels, you don’t know him at all. He is a cold tactician who knows our heroes’ every move, and I find that extremely fascinating.

    Zahn provides a great in-depth look into the brand new characters, as well as the familiar ones we love. I’m not gonna waste your time any longer, buy this book!

    This is the first time I’ve read Heir in maybe two decades, and it still holds epic. Highly recommend. Mara and Luke’s first interactions are the highlight.

    Always Been a Huge Star Wars Fan - and as such have finally gotten around to Reading the Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn. Looking forward to reading the next two books in the Series. Zahn is a talented Sci-Fi writer & I can see why this Series is a MUST READ for Star Wars fans.

    Thrawn was great! Wasn’t the biggest fan of Mara Jade. Hopefully, I’ll begin to like her more in the next book. Loved reading about the clone Jedi. Overall, excellent story!

    O.K., I watch Star Wars Rebels and I think Thrawn is so annoying. I was hesitant to read this but I did, and I found that Thrawn in this was way less annoying! Some of the Han Solo parts are really funny, too.
