    A modern classic that truly lived up to its reputation. The Da Vinci code is thrilling as it is thought provoking. The short chapters make you keep reading, as they always end with cliffhangers. The characters quest for the Holy Grail proved to be one of action and deep thought, as I found myself stunned by the facts the author introduced that are relevant to our everyday lives, my favorites being PHI and Friday the 13th. Sophie and Langdon were always on the move, introducing readers to new and immersive settings that got me hooked. Also, the book is not written in the perspective of one particular character, so you get to see the same situations from the lens of multiple different characters, with varying motivations, only adding to the immersion. My only gripe is the fact that Sauniere’s quest ultimately proved to be one of symbolic value as opposed to a true hunt for the Holy Grail. Not to mention the sheer coincidence that Sophie and Langdon happened to knock on the primary antagonists door seeking refuge, a little too forced for me. Dan Brown’s writing proved to be elegant with a clear background of heavy research, very commendable.

    The writing is pretty sucky but the plot and storyline was fantastic. It was hard to get through just because the writing really bothered me but it was entertaining enough. I wouldn’t suggest it but its okay

    I wanted to read the book because I saw the movie a lot and wanted to compare the two of them. I think the book is full of detail that the movie doesn’t have.

    It’s been a while since I read this book, but I enjoyed it even more this second time than I did the first. It certainly doesn’t hurt that so many people act as if this book came from the theology section instead of the fiction section. A story that gets people’s feathers up because they’re too busy taking themselves far too seriously: what’s not to love?!

    So when I picked up this book I was not prepared for it. I though this would be a mildly interesting mystery read. Not something that blew my mind after every page. Dan continues to confuse and amaze at every twist and turn. What you think will happen and what does happen are so different I was laughing at myself! I love this book and I recommend it for anyone who wants to have their mind blown after every single chapter. Some say this is offensive to their religion but this is a work of fiction and while there are truths and facts hidden through its mostly about a conspiracy theory and shouldn’t hold any weigh unless you allow it to. I loved it. Definitely the greatest mystery I’ve ever read. Than you Dan.
