    Beautifully written and engaging! Kept me up most of a night. I knew that I was not just reading history, I was an involved Patriot wanting to keep fighting to the end. "The Fort" engages me to want to read more of Cornwall's books.

    Cornwall deals only with real characters here, rather than his imaginary protagonists like Sharpe and the archer. It makes for a different read, as the focus is split far more. I'd never heard of the battle nor known that Revere served other than as a rider. Its a fascinating and captivating read, and will help to set historical fact right.

    Having read many of Cornwell's books this one rates high. It was informative, exciting, and took you to the battle. Could not wait each night to get back to the events of this book.

    This was a fascinating read about a battle that has been forgotten. I liked that it showed admirable characters on both sides. Don't read anything about it so you won't know how it ends.
