    A very good read if you're interested in the continuing adventures of ST:TNG, ST:DS9, and ST:Voyager crews. Reminds of a some of the best episodes. Mack does very well of capturing the character essence from the series. Also very accessible to those not familiar to Trek.

    In the grand tradition of the Star Trek novel quickly captures the imagination. This is a riveting read that leaves you hanging. Looking forward to the second book in the series.

    It's was a great book it had me interested all the way through. Capt Dax was a great capt and very different from other starfleet captains. She also seemed the strongest of the three. Capt Riker seemed too wrapped up in personal problems to effectively command his ship till the very end of the book. Capt Picard was just a huge mess. He should of been relieved of command. When dr crusher is a stronger character than him it's time for him to step down.

    The story of the Colombia and Capt Hernandez was so well written I wish there was more. For me it was the best part of the novel.

    All in all it is a great book and worth the read. I just hope the next two novels are just as good.

    I must first admit that I am not much of a reader. However, I was planning for a long trip and wanted something to pass the time. I decided it might be time to try a book. Boy, was I in for a treat! This book has elements of all eras of Trek, and both the story and writing seem to closely mirror Trek-style.

    Bottom line, I was instantly hooked. Excellent story and great writing make this a must-read for any Trek fan. I am downloading book two as we speak...

    Solid Trek. The plot gives up its surprises a bit early and often. I was still entertained and engaged nonetheless. A worthwhile read for Trek fans.

    The author portrays Jean-Luc Picard as a complete idiot all throughout this Destiny series. Last STTNG book by this author Ill ever read.

    It is nice to see a complex story both adhere to and completely revolutionize a fantasy universe, were a writers works are so criticized, and scrutinized they become to afraid to strike out. well mark has and in doing so with this trilogy (and other books) he has insured this universe both in space, and time can continue to expand.

    This new Destiny series is off to a good start. I really enjoying reading this book that was set in the Post-Nemesis era. I have found myself wanting to read more Trek books since there in no more new series on TV.

    David Mack has done an excellent job of tying in several different series or ships, into one book. You go from Columbia, to Enterprise, then to Aventine, and last to Titan, but maybe not in that order. If you have not read any of the Titan series, then the events of Starship Titan may confuse you a little, maybe because of the characters are so hard to get a handle on. Luckily, I had been reading the Titan series for a while.

    Following the Enterprise in this book was easy for me because I had already read "Death in Winter", "Before Dishonor", and "Greater Than the Sum" books - all set in Post Nemesis era. I must have missed a book somewhere when it came to Dax being the Captain of a Starship, I was thinking that she was a counselor on DS9 series.

    All in all, it's a good read.
