Description

In Hercule Poirot’s Christmas, the holidays are anything but merry when a family reunion is marred by murder—and the notoriously fastidious investigator is quickly on the case.

Christmas Eve, and the Lee family’s reunion is shattered by a deafening crash of furniture and a high-pitched wailing scream. Upstairs, the tyrannical Simeon Lee lies dead in a pool of blood, his throat slashed.

When Hercule Poirot offers to assist, he finds an atmosphere not of mourning but of mutual suspicion. It seems everyone had their own reason to hate the old man. . . .
A cozy holiday read Perfect for fans of winter mysteriesA delightful Christmas gift

It sometimes dragged a bit, this book turned out to be one of my favorite of the Poirot series. It had a bit of everything - villainous victim, siblings rivalry and a seemingly unsolvable murder. So much fun to see how our favorite Belgian detective would put his grey cells to solving it.
Great read

Chistie has always been one of my favorite 'get out of my head for a while' authors. Always smart and transporting in terms of characters and locale. Poirot is one of her best creations and has a lot of good character flaws and virtures. This book was a very good read.
