Questo romanzo scritto nel 1932 dai due autori americani Charles Nordhoff e James Hall, molto fedele alla vicenda storica, narra le gesta di Peter Heywood (nel romanzo il personaggio Roger Byam), giovane ufficiale del Bounty all'epoca dei fatti.
