Grace has once again created a multidimensional beautiful love story! I love Glory’s eager attitude and loyal disposition. I’m excited to read Charlie’s story.

Grace Callaway’s latest novel in her series Lady Charlotte’s Society of Angel is a perfect addition. What I have enjoyed about the series so far is that all the heroines are different and yet they all have their appeal. I really like the relationship between the protagonists. Wei represents for Glory a connection to her heritage and therefore her past. Through his involvement with Glory, Wei is able to confront his past which has held him back and can now move forward into his future. For both of them the relationship is a kind of awakening. To me the relationship felt real, it did not feel forced. “And that is how I know I love you Wei. Because I see you for who you truly are, and you still take my breath away “. (Glory to Wei)

They opened up to other and yet did not turn away from what they saw. Two people from different backgrounds who are drawn to each other and fall in love. I could empathise with the fact that Glory thought of how her family would be affected by the relationship . She was not ashamed of Wei, instead she was concerned of how it would affect how her family would be able to help those who had fallen into misfortune. Fortunately this was resolved quite satisfactorily. “Their passion deserved more than shadows: a thing of such beauty deserved to flourish in sunlight”.

This novel can be read as a standalone but both the heroine and hero are seen in prior books in the series. As with most of Ms. Callaway’s books there is a mystery. The mystery is interesting but it does not overshadow the romance. It instead aids in facilitating the romance between Glory and Wei. The reader will feel satisfied with how the mystery is wrapped up.

As usual one can count on Ms. Callaway to bring the heat 🥵 . This book was the right kind of steamy without being overdone.

The friendship between the Charlie’s Angels 😉 must be commented on. So many romance novels have women plotting against each other. These women are all strong in their own way and complement each other . The series highlights the deep bond among a group of women and it gives me such joy. I have to mention her that I love the fact that Ms. Callaway provides representation as it concerns women's bodies and I am here for it. We can be sexy and appealing with a variety of body types. I recommend this novel. Ms. Callaway is great at writing romance. She is a queen of combining romance, steam and mystery. I received an ARC for an honest review of this novel.

Grace Callaway is such a treasure. Her books are sooo sexy, and the historical details are just right. Some HR authors seem to leave out so much of the little day-to-day details of the time period, but not Callaway. I love all of the history she sprinkles throughout the book.

This book belongs to Glory and Wei. I couldn't wait to read their story, particularly to get some background on him. His story was both heart-breaking and full of learned wisdom. I love when the Hero has an arc that is profound to his character. Glory's background is interesting, too, but we see some of it in Glory's parents' book, Enter the Duke. (Her parents are awesome, btw.) Glory acted very childish at times, but I think Grace wrote it this way on purpose. Glory grows up the more she and Wei were together. I love that when Wei finally decided he couldn't take it anymore, he told her he wanted her. He was all in. Callaway's heroes are great at this.

The only small issue I had with this book was that the romance felt a little rushed. This, of course, has nothing to do with the caliber of Callaway's writing. She's amazing. I think there were specific reasons that she chose to write the love story this way. I've always liked a slower burn, so for others, this is probably the perfect pace for them. This doesn't take away from the story at all; just a person preference on my part.

Overall, I adored this book, and will continue to read everything Ms. Callaway puts out. It's a great addition to this series!
