I loved the book. I felt the ways hope, beauty and sanity are cultivated in the midst of chaos and adversity that are beyond the control of the individual. The book inspired me to look for the best outcomes in the world as it is, and to strive for change on a large scale while living life in a precious and small world.

Another mesmerizing novel by Isabel Allende! The myriad twists and turns that the narrator’s life takes over her century on Earth is astounding even as it’s presented as simply how her story plays out. The historical, political and geographical realism makes for a truly gripping tale and an excellent read!
