I absolutely love Kim Harrison’s The Hollows series. Each book keeps getting better and better. I am absolutely ecstatic that Ms. Harrison decided to continue the series. It’s like getting back in touch with old friends and going on new adventures. This is an absolute page turner, one that will keep you saying, “Just one more chapter”. I can’t wait for the next one! Absolutely brilliant in every way. Thank you Kim!

Another excellent book in the series as they just keep getting better and better! I give this book 10 stars at least for the story but another 10 for the humor.
Rachel and Jenks are looking for a new home after the disaster and damage to the church. They are trying to fix it up to look nice to sell it but things are not going as well as they would like.
Ivy and Nina are basically hostages in DC and there is a new master vampire in the city. Constance has her own crew and things are not going well for the city. Lots of people are now without a home. But Rachel and Jenks are having a hard time finding a place to live. As you read the book you will find who is at the bottom of the problem. Now there is a way to stay at the church but that has problems as well.
Bis is still sort of alive and he has not been forgotten. You will find that other gargoyles will show up who are related to Bis. Al and Rachel are having issues and it seems the demons are watching her. Hodin is becoming a very interesting character. He is kind of coaching Rachel but is not liked by the other demons. I do not know why as he is very interesting and helpful.
Trent has gone with her girls on a vacation of sorts with Ellasbeth but you will find it is cut short much to his relief. Pike will meet some people and his relationship with both Trent and Rachel livens up the story.
We have a master vampire , Constance, who wants Rachel gone and we have many surprising twists which makes things in Cincinnati even more interesting.
The romance is there and Zach is helpful in this book as a elf who has been kidnapped but his rescue is different. I really like how Rachel steps up to do what she didn’t want to do but what makes it work is all the people who are supporting her. I look forward to the next book to see how things are changing under the new regime!
