This manga is great at introducing the characters & developing the plot as it goes, though it does have quite a bit of fan service, it’s still pretty good.

I love how we start quickly with our main characters and who they are as people. The author makes a great point to only focus on this early on making the reader really attached to them. I can’t wait to read more!

A bit too much “service,” but otherwise good characters and great art. Gets a bit technical, but I think that is part of the charm. The Japanese voice actors in the anime version really match the manga.

The story is fun and engaging.

I wasn’t sure about this title before I read it. I’m a documentary film maker, and have seen a couple different shows about cosplay culture that were average at best. This manga, for me, captures what I think the documentaries were unable to express: the innocent and quite pure love and affection devoted to the process itself. Often cosplay is depicted as lurid and sort of sleazy, but this story, even when using an ero character backdrop to provide rom-com gag interactions, avoids that stereotype and pitfall (while diving into it headfirst, ironically).
