    It has been a long time since a series of captivated my attention like this series. I find myself looking forward to the next adventure with my old friends Will, Halt , Maddie, Cassandra, Horace and Gilan

  • Only half a story, characters are dumb?

    It’s a shame that this is the second book to a promising new series, yet we only get half a book. Some of our favorite characters have also literally walked themselves into a corner which makes no sense to their intelligence. Hopefully book 3 makes up for this book, but I do feel like this book was more for money than anything.

    John did a great job in making the fights seem real and it kept notice to previous events it also leads to so many possibilities.

    Just a money grab,,, only 1/2 a story??? Not to mention the most obvious foreshadowing ever,,, too simple for his readers, a lame story line,,, when did Horace and Gilan get so stupid as to fall for the trap, again too simple and insults his loyal readers,,,, VERY DISAPPOINTED

    I LOVE this book so much! It was probably my favorite book out of all of the Ranger’s Apprentice, Ranger’s Apprentice The Early Years, Brotherband, or Ranger’s Apprentice The Royal Ranger books. Highly recommend reading! (After reading the previous series, of course)

    Enjoyed the book but it was only half the story. Very disappointed with John Flanagan the way he leaves the reader hanging. I say either write the whole story or don’t waste our time. Very poor approach. It seemed like just a money grab on Flanagan’s part.
