Repetitive
This is one of the poorest excuses for a book I’ve ever read. It is basically the same “hot” sex scene over and over in nearly every chapter with just the change of location and the constant use of the F word. If you must buy this book, save yourself some time and read the first and last few chapters.

With This Man by Jodi Ellen Malpas is the fourth book, and a standalone, in the This Man series. Get ready for the countdown, twelve years later...

Told in dual POV this book is an in-depth view into Jesse and Ava's life twelve years on from where we left them last. Nothing has changed, only gotten better. More loving, more emotion, more love, more peanut butter. The twins are twelve and rambunctious and awesome. They deal with their parents "gross" displays of affection as best they can (LOL) and are great kids.

The book is detailed and I'm going to leave my review vague so as not to spoil anything but as you know from the blurb, there is an accident and Ava loses the last 16 years of her memories. Jesse, the kids, everything. These two falling in love again - working through all the massive issues a traumatic injury and event like this causes is detailed and emotional. Not a quick read but an absolutely fabulous one. I switched between audio and ebook on this one and the narrators are amazing too. Loved it! Enjoy!

I love JEM, have read all of her books and fell in love with Jesse and Ava’s story when I started the This Man trilogy.

When it was announced that a 4th book was coming I was a little apprehensive. I feel like their story was done being told in This Man Confessed and I wondered what more needed to be said.

The beginning started out pretty good but then the book just got repetitive and predictable. Ava gets into another car accident, no explanation at all of what happened. Sarah appears again out of nowhere, asks Jesse for money which he gives her, and she disappears. Just like that. No drama, no confrontations just takes the money and runs. Ava gets accidentally pregnant, again. John dies and they name the new baby after him. I could’ve wrote this book myself it was so obvious where the story was going.

After all the buildup and anticipation of this book I was really disappointed. I had to push myself to finish because at times I actually got bored. For me, I think I would’ve enjoyed a Jesse book prior to when he met Ava. This book just repeated storylines and situations that happened in the first 3 books.

That I’ve finished this book. Such a good sequel to Jesse and Ava’s story. Every woman should have a “Lord” in their lives. 50 Shades my have started this romance movement but This Man and Jodi took it to a whole new level. Can’t wait for your next adventure.

Jodi has, once again, drawn me into Jesse and Ava’s lives. And what a life! The love they share, the love that drives them, the love that sees them thru difficult times. A fabulous HEA.

With This Man, no, the whole series, is worth every penny. Five stars all the way!
