Sexy romp; minimal plot

The book has plot holes you could drive a Mack truck through; characters with limited depth but if you like a sex focused story with thinly wrapped historical veiling, you'll enjoy this puff pastry. Full disclosure: it kept me interested enough to read it to the end-- the obligatory marriage and child making all prior indiscretions overlooked. I did laugh at the idea of a French courtesan's granddaughter named Maybelle: sounded more Petticoat Junction than Pall Mall London to me!

Though I loved the book and after reading it, I decided to buy the audiobook. That I was very disappointed with it because the person reading this book left out so much of specifics that I won't buying the rest of them.
