Né le 24 mars 1914, à Lanty (Haute-Marne), Paul Chaulot a fait une carrière administrative au ministère de l’Intérieur. Marié, sans enfant, il vivait, depuis la fin de la guerre, à Viroflay, près de Versailles. Frappé d’une congestion cérébrale le 19 décembre 1969, dans le train qui le ramenait à Viroflay, il est mort sans avoir repris connaissance.
