Twists and turns, like the roads through the Santa Monica mountains. LA Requiem is a read and a half. Elvis Cole is funny and an extremely insightful detective, not afraid to do the right thing. Joe Pike is unflappably determined. An excellent read….now onto the next Elvis adventure. Thanks, Mr Crais.

5 Stars. Definitely the best Cole and Pike book so far. One of the best books I’ve read, period. The were beaten down and almost destroyed. I’m not sure what they will look like in the next one. There’s still unfinished business but I’m not sure how Crais will handle it. Wow. What a book. What characters. What a series.

This was my first Crais novel. He did a great job developing the characters in this book. My favorite were Dolan, Pike and Cole. I will definitely be reading more of Robert Crais.

Absolutely at the top of the list for “Best Crais”! Strong ending and excellent plot.

Fast moving. Good character development. Decent plot but rather contrived means of determining who the bad guy was. OK ending.
