Okay I don’t normally leave reviews and honestly I’m only 50% into this book so maybe I need to revise this once I finish. I love a sexy scene as much as the next girl, and this genre is my favorite but, even for me, this is a lot of foreplay and really dragging out the sexual tension with very little plot and next to no emotional depth from the main female character. Maybe it builds into something but I’m an avid reader and can read just about anything but this is tough to get through. The lead female is interesting I think … but again, I learn very little about her between the sex scenes. I wish there was a lot more character building/ depth to the characters to add to the book for me personally. I feel like it’s 1 page of actual plot for every 5 pages of some hostile sex scene.

I should have waited to read this lol. Now I am craving the next book already lol. I love Amelia’s writing so much. And this book just proves it more.

I’ve read almost all of Amelia’s work and this is yet another fabulous novel to her collection. The female characters in this book are so wonderful! I feel like they fall in sync with each other so perfectly and even though the other novels from her show female friendship, this is the first I’ve come across where they are a unit apart from the group which is really wonderful! Of course, she gives us all the steam of a enemy romance - which she is unmatched in! Can’t wait for the next in the series!

This book is so amazing! She draws you into a world and captivates you with every single detail, twist, and turn while leaving clues for the future and dropping hints of the past that will tie it all together! Amelia makes you fall in love with these beautifully tortured characters that are so relatable to real people.

I was hoping this would be a stand alone book but didn’t see the subtitle with series in it until after I’d already bought it. I guess I’m going to be sucked into another of Amelia Hutchins series. A lot happened in this book so I’m looking forward to the next one unlike the chaos series where it seems to be books that get you nowhere. I have to say none of the books I’ve read of hers comes anywhere close to being as good as the fae chronicles/elite guards series.
