Callan was first introduced in Andre’s story. He’s like Neil Christiansen. A man with a few words but his actions are somewhat honorable when he falls for his stepsister, Emily and rescues her from a ruthless sex trafficker!! I love brief appearances with Andre, Talon, Tank, Tyler and Neil whom they helped Callan rescue Emily from that kidnapper!!!

He is my favorite character from this series of books! We met him in Andre and his silent ways were intriguing. I am wondering and hoping he will show up in other stories.

3.5 stars I have loved every book I have read by Sybil Bartel, that being said this one was just okay for me. The characters just didn’t resonate with me like the previous books. Callan/Hero was raised in a cult and when that ended he went looking for the sister he never knew he had. When he found his biological father he was surprised to find Emily there, they had a short encounter a year earlier. He finds out Emily is his stepsister, as his bio father remarried. This story does have the intrigue and action of her other books, but I just couldn’t connect with Callan or Emily. This is all my personal preference, and I would recommend it because I know most may not have the same option as me.

By far my favorite book by Sybil! I could not put it down read it all the way through within hours and omg I loved it!! Quickly becoming one of my favorite authors :)

This was a great addition to the series. Just like the author mentioned it would take a cleverness to do Callan’s story. She did it. Callan was so strong and determined to be more than his upbringing and past. He fought through the cult tendencies and made himself. He also knew love and wanting a mate. He is Alpha male and makes no excuses for his demands. Read On!

Gahhh I don’t know how Sybil does it, but here we are again! Callan was the biggest sweetheart, but still is 100% alpha. This book has allllll the feels. 😍😍
