Description

The instant #1 New York Times bestseller!

From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Say You'll Remember Me comes a beautiful, compelling novel that revels in laughter, friendship, and the messy choices life can throw our way.

In everyone’s life, there’s a split-second decision that can change everything...

For Larissa, it came when choosing who to ride home with after a concert. That night, she had no idea she’d met the perfect man. She and Chris are great friends, co-parenting a slightly unhinged rescue Yorkie, sharing their favorite books, and judging bread (pumpernickel for the win!). For the first time amid all her side hustles to scrape by, things finally feel easy.

But she didn’t choose Chris to drive her home all those months ago—she went with his best friend, and he became her boyfriend. All Chris wants is for Larissa to be happy. Standing by on the sidelines is slowly killing him, but making a move would destroy someone else. How can something that feels so right be absolutely impossible?

Usually love her books, this one was literally rambling same thing over and over. Boring! Hopefully the next will be back and fun!

This book was full of despair, grief, and hard times. It had zero enjoyment. I generally enjoy this author and look forward to her books. Next time, I may take a pass based on how awful this book was. The book was read from beginning to end because of how much I paid for it. It couldn’t have ended soon enough.

Loved the sweetness of the story of Chris and Larissa. I also enjoyed the rawness of the relationships and challenges of each of the characters .

I’ve read most books by Abby Jimenez. This story was truly terrible. The FMC doesn’t deserve the MMC and pretty much uses him for most of the book. There was no chemistry, and the ending was very anticlimactic. I kept waiting for something that never happened.
  • Predictable

Not her best book but I read it un funk the end, I was hoping for something to change. Predictable and drawn out.

I don’t know whether I’d personally call this book Abby’s best one yet, but I definitely loved it. It’s beautifully painful, bittersweet, and filled with longing that made my heart hurt: both for the main characters, and for myself.

Please excuse me while I grab another tissue, then decide which physical copy (copies?) I want to buy, reread the book, and grab the audiobook. 😅
