Between Two Kings

Wasn't as good as the first . Very inconsistent and a lot of holes . Disappointing to say the least

There was so much going for this entire series. Book one was so much fun, the push and pull of the kings, and I could not put it down. I LOVED the world building and “twas the basilisk way” …so much time was spent building and building this new basilisk world we were becoming a part of. And it was all… for…. NOTHING??? And then it just got worse and worse because even the ending gave no closure. What was the point of bringing us all this wonderful world we got a glimpse of and then BOOM — she just settles? For Leo? And this amazing new part of her she wanted to keep and grow and foster and nurture has to die? Along with the MC? And she just moves on and it’s depressing and there’s no love? I have never read a book like this. Get the rug pulled out from under you with a DEATH and then just zero emotion the author ends it. It was like the author put zero effort into the ending and then it was over. And those “love letters” did nothing for me…. Caspen was literal word and love Jesus and then she had to settle with the guy who conveniently lived?? And boom. Book over. I have whip lash. All other chapters are so beautiful (until the end) and written with so much conversation and detail and then the end is just nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Ending killed me and took a piece of my soul. Why you do that to me Lindsay???

Honestly it was a GREAT book. I was so emotional attached to certain characters and that's why I hated it. But it's a good hate.

I refuse, refuse to accept what happened in this book. Compared to the first book this one seems rushed, vindictive and cruel. The characters regress if anything and the story line is full of jokes. The first book ending is the ending I choose to go by. If I could go back and unread this book, I would.

OMG! Just so many layers, emotions and feels within this book. Hated for it to end. I won’t give away the happily ever after. But the emotional ugly cry made the journey all with it. Read Book 1 and Book 2.

For whatever reason i can only get 83 pages?! it tells me i finished the book and can’t keep reading. frustrates
me that i paid 10 dollars and cant finish it.
