I love the Hose of Night series. However 9.99 for the book is to much. Its a good short story but not for that price.

Book Problem with iPhone

I bought this book for my iPhone, I was astounded by the fact that I paid 9.99 or this book and it was only 55 or so page long. I decide to download the book onto my iPad. After completing the download it showed that it was about 200 pages long and not 55 pages long. So, for some reason the book does not show up properly on the iPhone, but shows up correct on the iPad. So, the authors are not ripping us off, but their is a problem with viewing the book on the iPhone that needs to be fixed. Other than the glitch with viewing the book on the iPhone, it's a 5 star rating.
Heart the story not the price

I loved the story. However if you are going to pay more than 1.99 for this book it's not worth it. I read the book in an hour and was charged 14.30 I can sit in a movie theater for a third of that. price and be entertained for hours. I will never again buy another book of P. C. Casts without knowing if the price is worth. P. C. Cast you ripped your fans off. Yes it was a good story but should not have cost what it did for the length. We all hearted you and I'm ashamed that you two did that.

Really, this is embarrassing. Don't these two know how to write a WHOLE book? To charge $14.99 for the setup to a plot line is unethical and unprofessional. The writing is good enough, the plot predictable but interesting, the characters well-drawn--why did they only write the first third of a book? No real resolution, no real resolve to the real dilemma their heroine is in. Tsk, Tsk.
I know they call this a novella...but Stephan King did a far better job with "The Green Mile" novellas. Simply not good enough. I won"t buy anything from them again.
