Great story about a man who was looking for a man that was shot, fell down a cliff and survived. Took days to get back to the place he had left his wife waiting with the wagon but when he got back she was not alive. He then started looking for the man who killed her but that man had men looking for him to kill. But Tell was not going to let them kill him until he got the man who killed his wife.

Not one of Louis’s best, and I’ve read a lot of his tales. Overly complex and detailed plot and somewhat not believable happenings.

Such a great story. I would encourage new L'Amour readers to read one or two other Sackett novels before this one — even though this is probably the best of them all. There's a good reason for that recommendation, but I'm not giving away any spoilers.

Very good book. This was the first of L'moures books I read and it instantly got me hooked. He's very talented at painting the picture of the Wild West. Good short read, I was finished in just hours.
