I admit, I had to read it due to my long obsession with anything his father has ever written.

I'm really glad I did. I devoured it, and was almost afraid to put it down. It's been a long time since a book has freaked me out, and reading this one in the wee hours of the night was almost a mistake! I found myself checking out the shadows just a little closer, and convincing myself nothing was there.....

Very good book, freaky, serious page turner. Can't wait to read more by him.

Excellent Ghost Story

Excellent ghost story that's genuinely scary. Its main character, the aging rockstar Judas Coyne, is flawed but likable and entirely believable. Hill steers clear of the cheesiness that often ruins novels about rock stars. If you've avoided Hill because you thought he was published only because he's the son of Stephen King, prove yourself wrong by reading this book.

Loved it. Read "Horns" a few months back and figured thus would be a good read too. Got that right. It's spooky and fun and goes down easy. Enjoy.

I couldn't put the book down! I got really sucked into Judas Coynes world. A great rock and roll horror novel to say the least. I really got exited when Joe mentioned my favorite band-Metallica! Best book I ever read.

Would have given it 4 or 5 stars if he hadn't implied that Slash was a member of Mötley Crüe (or implied a rockstar of the same era would make that mistake) and spelled The Black Crowes without the 'e'. It's little errors like this that make a work of fiction seem, well, more fictional. Otherwise a good story to read over a long weekend.

Oh Joe...what an incredible rock and roll novel. The brilliance of this book is interlaced with incredible musical references. A fantastic first novel by Mr. Hill. It will grab your attention from page one and not let go.
