Description

Court Gentry is known as The Gray Man - a legend in the covert realm, moving silently from job to job, accomplishing the impossible, and then fading away. And he always hits his target. But there are forces more lethal than Gentry in the world. And in their eyes, Gentry has just outlived his usefulness.

Now, he is going to prove that for him, there is no gray area between killing for a living - and killing to stay alive.

  • Two Stars For Getting Me To Finish

Elite mercenary on a mission. (Spoiler Alert) Gets wounded. Continues. Gets more wounded. Continues. Gets even more wounded. Continues. Mission is to rescue hostages from a chateau guarded by 30 or more heavily armed mercenaries. I keep waiting for the finale - a brilliant plan carefully and ingeniously executed; but no. He just hobbles across 300 yards of an open field in broad daylight while being shot at and wipes out everyone except the hostages. They must have been worse shots than the Star Wars Imperial soldiers.

I thought only Mitch Rapp couldn’t die :). The Gray Man is immune to dying. Good book for sure will continue the series.

This is nonstop action from beginning to end. I loved it and will continue the series. For fans of Jack Carr and the Tier One series, this will fit you nicely.

I had no idea the Netflix movie was based on this book, but the movie does it no justice. The book was full
Of action and kept me glued to my phone every chance I got! Can’t wait to read book 2

Good action. Hard to put down, great insight into what “operators” may face with James Bond level heroism and at times necessitating that level of suspension of belief. Great read to escape reality for a while.

A fun read, although the gray man took quite a beating, I’d like to read his next adventure.

A little ridiculous but a good, quick, fun read.
  • Poor Man’s Orphan X

It was a disappointment that read like poor copy of Orphan X. The book is sloppily researched about the locations; e.g., Budapest is presented as a city with a population of 4 million (t is close to two million), not mentioning the street names and barely scratching the surface historical background.
