Lately trying to find something soothing, gentle to read being upset and depressed with the incredible ugliness of this 2016 presidential election cycle, I've turned to romance type fiction which I generally don't like. But every book seemed meaningless and only written to fulfill a contract that required 400 or so pages to be written. I quit reading them soon. This is the book I was looking for. So real, so touching, so caring. Wonderful book.

This book is the second in a two book series, the first book being, True Believer. When I first started reading I was extremely unimpressed and I almost gave up on it. It took awhile to get invested, but once I was hooked I was hooked. I'm so glad that I read this book and the one following. I would definitely recommend both. They made me laugh out loud, and cry silent and uncontrollable tears. It made me really think about life and because of these two books I have a whole new appreciation of life. Do yourself a favor and read these books.
Writers Block?

In the book the main character has writers block and I'm beginning to wonder if Nicholas Sparks himself didn't have a touch of it too. This book was hard to get into from the beginning and hard to stick with. I am a Nicholas Sparks fan, however,I am disappointed in this book. Sadly I would not recommend you read it.

This book had to have been the most sad book I ever read! I read True Beleiver and found this 2nd part by accident. I had to purchase it just because I wanted to know what had happened to Jeremy and Lexi! Then the end was so sad! I wish I would have never read it. Lexi would still be alive in my mind. (sorry if I spoiled it)! I have been so sad all day! Sad ending to such a great story!

This was a really good book! This is the 4th book I have ever read and all of them are from Nicholas Sparks! I am 30 years old and I never really got unto books untill now! If you are a first time reader this book is for you! Now I'm going to find another book from Mr.Sparks! If anyone knows of another book from him that is good please let me know!

I didn't really like this one to much. It read pretty slow, didn't really seem to be going anywhere. Then when it seems to be getting to the happily ever after part the author takes a big dump on you with the unexpected tragedy. Then he sort of rubs your nose in it. Left me feeling depressed.
