This book was very thoughtful. Actually it was Cash that was thoughtful. Unfortunately, his thoughts didn't give him any points with Millie. Cash thought their relationship was great just the way it was. Even though they were exclusive, Cash still constantly left Millie for his rodeo events; being gone for months at a time with little contact. At the beginning, Millie didn't complain because he always came back. But as their relationship grew to five years old, and still Cash wasn't planning to give up his lifestyle, Millie had enough. Millie loved Cash with her whole heart but she wanted more. She wanted to get married, have a family and just be together everyday. For all of Cash's love for Millie, he couldn't see her reasoning. Why couldn't they just keep things the way they were?

In my opinion, Cash definitely thought of himself more than he did about Millie. I think the problem with their relationship was Millie never spoke up sooner about her true feelings. And when they finally had that long-needed conversation, Cash felt blindsided.

That said, I felt their love for each other. Cash and Millie were good together and I was engaged with the development of their relationship. Too be honest, they both needed to grow in maturity which they eventually did and that made me believe in them.

This book has a good pace and the author's writing flows well. Because of that, I read this book in one sitting.
