I have always enjoyed the Andy Carpenter books and read nearly all of them. However, this book was a very big disappointment. The main character is a sad paper doll caricature of Andy and is not nearly so humorous. The plot did not move well, and the other characters also seems stilted and not believable. I could not even finish the book even though I tried numerous times to finish it. Maybe it would be better if it was told from Laurie’s point of view. I will not be reading another book in this series.
