I love this book I read it several times I have worn out copy at home

Reason I like this book the most it is because it continual action . some people believe the children can’t take care of themselves to the extent that hardy did. I believe in that timeframe he was able to do those things because even back in the 1940s children at young ages were doing things to help their families
