Best of My Love is one of my favorite books of the Fool's Gold series. Aiden and Shelby have decided to be friends- definitely not a couple. Yeah, we know how that's going to work out for them. But the journey is lots of fun with hilarity along the path. Haven't you always wondered how the other half thinks? Well, these two take the time to find out. Doing male/female focused activities and learning about each other. Becoming friends and of course something more. I loved so many things about this book. How it made me feel and how much I laughed while reading it. And the dog Charlie. I loved him!! So much fun. We get to visit with past characters too. And get a glimpse into the spin-off series Happily Inc. Ms. Mallery always makes me glad I picked up one of her books. I can't wait to read the next series!! Thank you for a terrific book and the laughs. I really needed this!

Best of my Love, is Susan Mallery's latest foray into the world of Fools Gold,CA. In the book we meet and get to know Shelby Gilmore and Aiden Mitchell. Both for reasons of their own are looking to change the perspective on their relationships so they decide to attempt an experiment and become friends just friends. What will they find at the end of this, friendship, or perhaps even more?
For fans of Susan Mallery and Fools Gold, you will enjoy this very much. What's so great is that even if you've never visited Fools Gold you'll soon feel right at home. This is a great summer read for by the pool or at the beach.

This is another great addition to the Fool's Gold series centering around being friends with the opposite sex. Shelby, trying to overcome her past, proposes an experiment with Aiden where they would be just friends. I enjoyed the various "gender events" they went on as they navigated their friendship. My favorite part was the gender switched event near the end of the book (Aiden and the girls and Shelby with the boys).So pick up the book and enjoy returning to Fool's Gold and seeing old and new friends.

A wonderful treat to read! When Shelby asks Aidan to be her guy friend, just friends, no one believes them. They learn a lot about the differences between men and women, do things together, and form a genuine friendship. Friendship suddenly doesn't seem like enough, but neither wants to ruin what they have, until it's too late and the attraction is too much to be put aside. Both have to overcome fears and trepidation from the past to make things work for the future, learn to trust, and believe in love. A wonderful HEA!

Adrain and Shelby were the perfect pair. They had really the same emotional or physical baggage. The scars stop them both from trusting others as well as theirselves. Good story like all the the fools gold series.

What a great story line and there couldn't be two more perfect people than Aiden and Shelby to fit right into it. Their goal was to survive six months hanging out together, as friends only, no sex. Shelby needs to learn to trust men and Aiden needs to learn how to be friends with a woman and ONLY FRIENDS! She's up for it but what about him?

I felt like I was following these two around watching the story unfold...IN REAL LIFE! I always wondered when Shelby would deal with what her parents did to her and now I have my answer. I loved the role reversal interventions. Aside from working through past traumatic events, the story and characters of this fabulous little town are always fun to read about! I can't wait for my next visit to Fool's Gold, California.

I have always loved Susan's books. The Fool's Gold series has been a favorite of mine. In this one she deals with the age old question of ' can a man and woman be just friends?'

Shelby wants Aidan to just be friends for six months so they can learn about how the male and female should really be. After six months they will then go on their ways to be able to find someone one and fall in love.
I enjoy the characters of Fool's Gold and how they enteract with others. Since I hear this is the last in the series, I will miss them.
Found this to be a sweet romance of two characters I felt were right for each other.
